Provision of data from M365 Business Central for other M365 applications

Microsoft has replaced redundant data storage with virtual tables to synchronize data between Business Central, Dataverse and other Dynamics 365 apps to increase the value of your Dynamics 365 investment. Virtual tables remove the boundaries between Dynamics 365 apps and make your data accessible to users in their preferred app.

Improving approval processes with Power Automate

The approval of documents or data changes must be uncomplicated in a modern company.

So far, new approval templates based on Automate Power have been introduced. These have been further improved by several new changes:

  • The Approval User Setup page has been updated and made available for Power Automate. Approvers no longer need to be manually defined on the Power Automate page as the flow execution will pick up the relevant approver directly from Business Central.
  • Additional templates are activated for the Power Automate approval integration.

Improvement of integration tables

Business requirements change and so do the underlying business processes. As business processes change, it is often necessary to exchange data through integrations with Business Central. The integration tables can now be edited and supplemented so that this can be implemented quickly and cost-effectively

Search for a suitable data record in a Power Automate flow

When creating flows in Power Automate, the task of searching for a data record that matches one or more criteria quickly arises. The current function(Search data records) always returns a list of data records, even if only one data record meets certain criteria.

With the new function( search fora data record), the user can find a single data record and benefits from an improved user interface that allows "parameters" and "conditions" to be conveniently defined.
